Kauai is known as the Garden Isle because of its lush vegetation. Made famous by the film "South Pacific" its remote and tropical North shore beaches invite you to bath in its warm ocean.
Kauai is site of the Waimea Canyon also called the "Second Grand Canyon". It's an amazingly huge canyon for such a small island. Kauai receives the most rainfall as any place and has some great rivers (and river cruises).
The cliffs of Na Pali are not to be missed. These towering, lush, green cliffs can be viewed from a boat and make a great snorkel trip. |
